תקן PCI ותקנים נוספים מחייבים הקשחת מנגנון ה SSL HTTPS .
התקן מחייב - ביטול תמיכה לאחור ב ssl v 2 והקשחת אלגוריתם ההצפנה .
ההקשחה מתבצעת ב REGISTRY של שרת ה IIS וניתנת לבדיקת ע"י כלי של FOUND STONE = SSLDIGGER
